A little about me
Karen J. Morris born as Karen J Myers in Jackson, New Jersey not far from Barnegat
Lighthouse and Island Beach State Park.
As a little girl I fell in love with lighthouses and begged my parents to take to all of them. I
moved to Florida in 1976. On several occasions, while painting Ponce Inlet Lighthouse, people
would stop to ask if they could spend the night there. The answer was "No" . When I saw how
many people wanted to spend the night in a Lighthouse I went on an educational mission to
find every Lighthouse you "could" spend the night in.
Thus, the book "Lighthouse Lovers Travel Guide" was born.
Do to the large number of people that enjoy and seek out Lighthouse Travel I have put
together the Lighthouse Lovers "Special Edition" Travel Guide. This book has new
Lighthouses that have recently went Bed & Breakfast along with Inns, B&B's, Resorts,
Marina's, campgrounds and RV parks that are within 5 miles of a Lighthouse.
When I am not working on books; I love to paint , travel and am currently working on several
children's books that I have had on my mind for too long and doing their illustrations.
I do Arts and Crafts shows throughout Florida and in the summer am lucky enough to get a few

I am currently a member of Florida Lighthouse Association, American Lighthouse
Foundation, and U.S. Lighthouse Society. This is the 4th edition of Lighthouse Lovers
Travel Guide. It is my true desire that you visit, not just the Lighthouses in this book, but all of
them. Take your next vacation in one.
